Steve Jackson is the founder and Managing Director of JICL, a seasoned business professional and senior Functional SAP Consultant with over twenty years of diverse industry experience. Steve is dedicated to developing and managing solutions that prioritize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness while aligning with global standards. He takes charge of fostering relationships between sponsors, BPOs, SMEs, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of agreed-upon services in a cost-efficient and high-quality manner. Steve consistently achieves exceptional results by driving change with decisive and action-oriented methods. He sets and pursues his own targets while also focusing on personal and professional development for himself and others. Steve possesses strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail, which he applies with sensitivity to various situations and cultures. He is committed to delivering a friendly and professional service to his clients.
Blueprinting
Blueprints are typically documented based on initial workshops conducted with the Business Process Owner (BPO) and any Subject Matter Experts (SME's).
Configuration
The 'configuration service' involves the tailoring of an SAP solution to meet the specific business requirements, based on previous Blueprinting activities.

Testing & Training

Steve Jackson: From Naval Precision to Global SAP Leadership
Born and educated in the heart of West Yorkshire, Steve launched his career with distinction, joining the Royal Navy at just 16 as a Junior Marine Engineering Mechanic. Over 14 transformative years, he rose rapidly through the ranks, earning promotion to Petty Officer by the age of 26 — a rare achievement that placed him in command of a £60 million propulsion plant as Marine Engineering Officer of the Watch (1st class). His tenure aboard iconic vessels such as HMS Ark Royal and Type 23 Frigates (Grafton, Richmond, Marlborough, Montrose) cemented his reputation as a trusted, high-performing Non-Commissioned Officer with global operational experience.
In 2005, Steve transitioned seamlessly into the commercial sector, bringing military-grade discipline and leadership into the world of SAP. He quickly mastered the Sales, Distribution, and Logistics Execution modules, relocating to Finland to lead international projects with precision and technical finesse. His career soon spanned continents — from Brazil to China to France — where he delivered SAP solutions across aerospace, defence, housing, and maintenance industries.
Steve’s strategic mindset was shaped by elite command training and a Diploma in Management from Greenwich University. His standout achievement at Wartsila — delivering the European VAT Package 2010 under extreme time pressure — showcased his ability to lead complex implementations with grace under fire.
In 2015, Steve founded JICL, a consultancy built on excellence, integrity, and a passion for SAP. Today, he continues to support global clients with visionary leadership, deep technical expertise, and a relentless drive for quality.
